Alternate Angles on the NESOP Advisory Board

What a great conversation we had tonight at New England School of Photography! The advisory board discussed the importance of internships as a part of the education of students. Personally, I feel that it is an integral part of the learning process. Teachers can only teach so much in the classroom and the education out in the field, so to speak, can be so different and such an important supplement to the process of becoming a professional photographer. I will continue to push and support the growth and addition of this to the wonderful current curriculum. I am the biggest advocate of New England School of Photography- I believe in it's success and, without it, know that I would not be where I am today. It is an honor to give back. :)

What a day! Though chilly, Christine and Eric braved the cold and headed from The Four Seasons hotel through the blowing wind in the Boston Public Garden over to The Hampshire House. I adored working with Christine and Eric at their intimate wedding celebration, held at the historic Hampshire House, with 18 of their closest friends and family members. Eric had proposed to Christine in the Public Garden so we created some wonderful images as we quickly made our way over to the Hampshire House, stopping at their special bench and posing on the bridge quickly on our way. It really was brutally cold so my hat's are off to these two! Great call on Christine's part including a beautiful white coat to have on through the outside pictures. Once we arrived at The Hampshire House, the setting of their long table where guests ate a multi-course meal absolutely took my breath away! Susan at Winston Flowers did a magical job of creating a gorgeous scene- check out some of the images below showing her talent.
A huge congratulations to Christine and Eric! Thank you for allowing me to work my magic and for being willing to do just about anything I asked of you! I look forward to working together again at your larger affair in June. Here are some of my favorites for their day:

Alternate Angles heads to International Wedding and Portrait Convention

I am THRILLED to be once again attending the international wedding and portrait convention! While completely exhausted, as I taught two classes at NESOP and graded finals the night before flying out, I am looking forward to connecting with friends and getting to the biggest trade show in the industry. I find it so important, as an educator and a professional in the industry, to stay abreast of the latest technology and products- to be able to offer my clients the B-E-S-T!
Looking forward to the two day intensive workshop with Jeff and Julia Woods and the business institute. Will do my best to find some new, thrilling albums to add to my already extensive line, and networking with the best in the industry. Thanks to my wonderful husband for holding down the fort while I am gone--- hope everything is still intact upon my return in 10 days! :)
